If you are 65 or over, you qualify for a seniors’ discount on public transit in B.C. Show the driver your B.C. CareCard or BC Services Card when you pay.

Community Travel Training Program

The Community Travel Training Program provides free training to seniors and people with disabilities who wish to use regular transit service. This program is currently available in Victoria, Kelowna, and Prince George, and will show you how to use public transit so that you’re comfortable using the system on your own. HandyDART

HandyDART Transit uses specially equipped vehicles to provide door-to-door service for people with disabilities who need assistance to use regular public transit.

HandyCard

If you live in the TransLink service area (Metro Vancouver / the Lower Mainland) and have a permanent disability that makes it difficult to use public transit without assistance, you may be eligible for HandyCard. HandyCard lets you travel for reduced fares, and if you need a companion to help you travel, that person can ride for free. To learn more, see:

Special Transportation Subsidy
