In mid-September 2025, the Site Remediation Services is launching a new, updated version of the Site Remediation Services Web App (SRS Web App). The app will replace the current application process that requires applicants to submit forms by email.
The SRS Web App is a digital application that lets you submit forms and contaminated sites services applications. The app provides a faster and streamlined process to make applying for services easier. It also allows for efficient collaboration between local governments, environmental professionals and the ministry.
You can use the app to:
Submitting forms, including Site Disclosure Statements and documents, is seamless, with everything contained in one system.
The app makes submitting applications faster. You can submit an application to the ministry and receive a response in a shorter amount of time.
The app connects different groups in one space, making communication easier between local governments, the ministry and applicants.
Tracking your application is easier. You can see the real-time status of your application in the app, and see decisions made by the ministry.
Starting in mid-September 2025, Site Remediation Services will begin accepting applications and notifications via the app. The current forms system will be retired. While no specific date has been set, we encourage all users to begin transitioning to the SRS Web App once it is available to ensure continued access to services.
If the app is ever unavailable during maintenance, the ministry will reinstate online forms during that time. This ensures you can continue to complete and submit your applications.
Everyone who uses the app must have a basic or business BCeID. We recommend creating a BCeID before September 2025 so you are ready to request services using the app. Find out which BCeID you need:
If you are an applicant
Register for a Basic BCeID. This lets you access the SRS Web App and other government services in a personal capacity.
If you are a legal entity, organization or business
Register for a Business BCeID.
After you register, you can create additional Business BCeID user accounts for people who may access online services on behalf of your organization:
Business Profile Manager (BPM)
This role is automatically assigned to the person who registers for a Business BCeID. The BPM can:
It is recommended that you assign two BPMs to your Business BCeID. This ensures there is an alternate BPM available to assign or re-assign the Business Accounts Manager role if one BPM leaves the organization.
Business Accounts Manager (BAM)
This role is assigned to one or more individuals by the Business Profile Manager. A BAM can perform account-related duties, such as:
If someone who’s been assigned a role leaves your organization, you can delete their Business BCeID account. This is done at your discretion.
For more information about assigning roles and managing a Business BCeID, read the Business BCeID Profile and Account Management Guide.
If you are a qualified professional
Register for a Basic BCeID if you are self-employed. If you work for a company that requires use of the SRS Web App, review the instructions for legal entities or businesses.
The digital team is working on instructional videos to share once the app launches. This will help you learn about the different features of the app and how to submit applications.
