MyEducation BC information for parents and caregivers

Last updated on July 7, 2026

MyEducation BC (MyEd BC) is British Columbia's secure student information system. It helps schools manage student information and provides families and students with access to certain educational records and services. This page provides information how to use the family portal, get help with account access, and where to obtain official school transcripts.

Family portal

The family portal in MyEd BC is an optional online tool that allows parents and guardians to view their child's educational information. Not all school districts use the family portal, and those that do may offer different features depending on local needs.

To learn whether the family portal is available in your area and what information it provides, please contact your child's school or district.

Resetting your password

If you are a parent or caregiver and need to reset your family portal username or password, please reach out to your child's school or district.

For security and privacy reasons, passwords expire every 90 days. After expiration, you will be prompted to create a new password upon your next successful login to help protect sensitive student information.

Accessing transcripts

MyEd BC does not provide official transcripts. For current and former students looking to view and order official secondary school transcripts, see the StudentTranscripts Service.
