MyEducation BC materials for district and technical staff

Last updated on July 7, 2026

Each school district in B.C. has a designated representative on the Service Management Council (SMC). These representatives play a key role in guiding the strategic direction and development of MyEducation BC (MyEd BC) through collaborative governance. In addition, each district assigns a Level 1 (L1) support staff member who serves as the primary contact for MyEd BC related support. L1 staff help school and district users with access management, training coordination, and troubleshooting.

Communications resources

Bulletins

As an SMC representative or L1 support staff member, you will receive a bulletin whenever a new feature is released in MyEd BC. These bulletins provide important updates to help you stay informed and support your district effectively. If you are not receiving these communications, please contact myedbc@bc.gov.ca to be added to the distribution list.

To ensure everyone benefits from the latest updates, please share relevant bulletins with your school community, such as teachers, teacher-counsellors, principals, vice-principals, and district staff.

Weekly L1 calls

Every Tuesday morning, Fujitsu and the ministry liaison host a digital call for L1 support staff members. These sessions provide timely updates, reminders, and opportunities to ask questions.

Service Management Council meetings

The full Service Management Council meets three times per year to review updates and share information across the sector. The SMC executive and subcommittees meet on a frequent cadence as outlined by each group's terms of reference.

Meeting minutes and presentation materials are available on the MyEducation BC communications page available inside MyEd BC.
