Education Insights: MyEducation BC's data analytics platform

Last updated on July 7, 2026

Education Insights is MyEducation BC's (MyEd BC) data analytics platform, designed to transform complex student data into clear visualizations. Drawing directly from MyEd BC, it provides schools and districts with up-to-date insights into key metrics such as attendance, student learning, and progress toward graduation. The platform refreshes nightly, allowing users to monitor trends in real time.

By making data easier to understand, Education Insights supports strategic planning, targeted interventions, and improved student outcomes.

Onboarding users to Education Insights

If you are a district or school user interested in using Education Insights, you can request access through your school or district assigned Level 1 (L1) support staff.

L1 support staff are responsible for onboarding both district and school-level users. To support this process, the L1 information learning station provides a step-by-step onboarding guide in PDF format, and an excel template to streamline mass onboarding requests. These tools ensure access is granted effectively and in alignment with district protocols. For more information, visit the L1 learning station inside MyEd BC or contact your L1 support staff directly.

Submitting a change request for Education Insights

Change requests for Education Insights are submitted through a change request form completed by a Service Management Council (SMC) representative or L1 support staff member. Change request forms must be approved by the district's or independent school authority's SMC representative. Be sure to include clear context, relevant details, and screenshots to support your request.

Once finalized, the form should be submitted to the ministry via the myedbc@gov.bc.ca  inbox.

Submitting a HEAT ticket

If you are your district's SMC representative or L1 support staff and need support, please submit a HEAT ticket. This allows the MyEd BC helpdesk to track and resolve your issue efficiently.

You can submit your ticket by visiting the HEAT portal.
