How BC Stats analyzes engagement survey data

Employee engagement is complicated and includes many aspects about the work environment, such as teamwork, job suitability, and stress and workload. These aspects are called drivers.
First, BC Stats calculates a breakdown of how employees responded to each question, as well as an average (mean) score for that question. Average scores are also calculated for each driver (the “driver score”). BC Stats then uses a statistical analysis to understand how these drivers work together.
