Before applying to an inventory

Please review the applicant inventories information and note the following:

  • These guidelines may be updated
  • Any changes will be posted and effective immediately
  • Individual inventories may have specific or additional guidelines

Applicants must respond to correspondence

You must respond to correspondence for assessment and selection processes. If you do not respond, this indicates to the hiring team that you're not interested in available opportunities. If you wish to withdraw your name, please notify the hiring team by contacting the BC Public Service Agency.

B.C. Government employees with a valid IDIR should submit an AskMyHR (IDIR restricted) service request. Include the title of the inventory in your subject line.

Applicants must attend assessment and selection processes

You must attend assessment and selection processes. If you do not attend without prior notification, this will indicate to the hiring team that you're not interested in available opportunities.

Applications will not be placed on hold

We do not accept requests to place applications on hold. If you're not available, your application will be removed from consideration. 

Privacy and confidentiality 

Applicant information is protected under the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FOIPPA). Information is kept confidential and will only be used for the purpose of filling positions. 

Resumes and other information, such as assessment results, will only be given to a hiring manager if a person is being considered for a position.
