About the Provincial Employees Community Services Fund

The Provincial Employees Community Services Fund (PECSF) is the BC Public Service’s employee-driven workplace giving program. Started in 1965 by caring, community-minded employees, PECSF has raised over $60 million for charities throughout B.C.

Each year, PECSF runs an awareness campaign and pledge drive where employees can set up one-time or bi-weekly donations to charities of their choice, as long as they are registered with CRA.

Program information:

  • PECSF is governed by a Board of Directors
  • It's the only program that can canvass BC Public Service employees
  • Employee volunteers are at the heart of PECSF, supporting the program with raising awareness, generating excitement and helping with activities throughout the year

Campaign 2025 highlights

During the 2025 fall awareness campaign, over 3,000 BC Public Service employee donors raised $1.7 million for organizations in B.C. and Canada. Over 600 volunteers got involved to support the campaign and generate excitement.
