Criteria
All vehicles transporting or delivering services on behalf of the Province should not idle the engine if the vehicle is stopped for more than one minute, unless it is required for the health and safety of passengers or to operate on-board equipment.
Transportation on behalf of the Province and for the purposes of completing the work described in this RFx should be environmentally responsible. This includes, but is not limited to the following items:
- Choice of zero- or lowest-emission (within the vehicle type)
- Vehicle retrofits and/or upgrades for emission reductions
- Route optimization and vehicle “right-sizing” (i.e. choosing the appropriate vehicle type for the required task)
- Regular maintenance program including tire inflation
- Driver training to reduce environmental impact when operating a vehicle

- Describe primary vehicle(s) proposed for the work, or other criteria. Include how each has been established and is monitored within the proponent organization, and what training is provided to drivers to minimize the environmental impact of operating the vehicle.
