Criteria

Proponents should demonstrate how their organization is taking action on environmental sustainability in their operations including in the management of energy, GHG emissions, water, materials and waste, and protection of ecosystems.

Where proponents are able, disclose their GHG emissions and have a credible emissions reduction target and emissions reduction plan.

Note 1: Where applicable, construction projects should include criteria from this section where there is an opportunity to pre-qualify proponents.

Note 2: These criteria should only be considered for inclusion where it is known or expected that proponents should have the ability to provide a detailed description of their emissions strategies, plans, or actions/targets).

Sample RFx questions

  • Describe current environmental sustainability plans, strategies, and/or actions taken to reduce the organization’s impact on the environment. Examples of organizational environmental sustainability include commitments and actions taken to reduce its corporate GHG emissions, reduce waste and resource consumption, protect ecosystems, etc. For example, CleanBC Roadmap to 2030 or Canada’s Net Zero Challenge.
