Asphalt Plant Regulations 

The Asphalt Plant Regulation prohibits the discharge of emissions that exceed the concentration limits set in the regulation.

The Asphalt Plant Regulation sets environmental limits for asphalt plants. The regulation includes requirements for plant location, emissions, maintenance, and monitoring. The Ministry of Environment Regional Environmental Protection Officer is responsible for enforcement. The Environmental Management Act provides enforcement options including pollution prevention orders under section 81, pollution abatement orders under section 83, and offences and penalties under section 120 (13).

Concrete Batch Plant

The Code of Practice for the Concrete and Concrete Products Industry establishes province-wide standards for waste discharge from the concrete and concrete products industry.

The Ministry of Environment has established a "code of practice" (Minister's regulation) that addresses discharges to the environment from the concrete and concrete products industry under provisions of the Environmental Management Act (EMA) and the Waste Discharge Regulation (WDR).
