The Selkirk project adjoins to the eastern end of recently widened Quartz Creek Bridge. This project includes four-laning 3.9 km of highway, two wildlife crossings, wildlife exclusion fencing, and construction of a new rest area.
Status
Pre-construction - site preparation and clearing begins November 18, 2024.

- Single lane alternating traffic planned for brush clearing
- Occasional random minor 5-10 min all-lane stoppages may be required
Project Benefits
- Improve the safety and mobility on this section of the highway
- Rectify drainage problems to mitigate frost heaves
- Enhance wildlife connectivity across the TCH to reduce mortality
- Combined with the Quartz Creek Bridge project there will be 8.3 km of four lane highway, when completed.
- Relocation of the existing Redgrave rest areas to the Quartz Creek Forest Service Road, with enhanced facilities and improved access for the travelling public
