Temporary hardship assistance for people from Ukraine
People arriving in B.C. from Ukraine can apply for temporary hardship assistance for up to 12 months.

Program eligibility
Financial support for people from Ukraine is offered through B.C.'s Hardship Assistance program. To be eligible, you must:
- Have arrived in Canada under the Canada-Ukraine Authorization for Emergency Travel (CUAET) program
- Meet all of B.C.'s Hardship Assistance program eligibility requirements
- Have already applied for and received the Canada-Ukraine Transitional Assistance Initiative (CUTAI) transitional financial assistance
Monthly payment amounts
Payments are paid monthly and based on need and family size. Assistance may be provided for up to 12 months.

How to apply
To apply, you may be asked to provide:
- Email address you check regularly
- Social Insurance Number (SIN)
- Basic BCeID
- Identification (ID) like a passport
- Direct deposit information
- Financial information, like income or assets owned
Applications for the program must be completed through the My Self Serve portal online, in-person or over the phone.

Visit any ministry office to get help with your application.
Offices are open Monday to Friday:
- 9:00 am to 12:00 pm
