The Cascade Skyline Gondola project intends to create an eco/cultural tourism project centered around a single multi-passenger gondola. The gondola will lift guests from a base station on the current Bridal Falls Golf Course. The Bridal Falls Golf Course is owned by the Cheam First Nation, who are partners of this project.
The Cascade Skyline Gondola is a nature-based, point-of-interest project which will provide access to non-motorized mountain activities and experiences. It is proposed to bring people into the Cascade Mountains at approximately 950 meters in elevation. Originally proposed in 2017 as the Bridal Falls Gondola Project, the applicant revised its proposed size in 2024 to have a smaller geographic footprint. The proposal remains as a day-use based tourism and recreation project, now called the Cascade Skyline Gondola Project.
This project is independent of the adjacent proposed all-season resort, Bridal Veil Mountain Resort.
The Cascade Skyline Gondola project is being developed by the Bridal Falls Gondola Corporation. It is partnered with the Cheam and Pelolxw First Nations.
The Cascade Skyline Gondola will be located approximately 19 kilometers east of downtown Chilliwack, in the Fraser Valley Regional District, near Popkum. Please refer to the proposed location map (PDF, 1MB) for the exact location.
