The Agriculture Wildlife Program budget is $5 million for the 2025 program year. However, 2025 claims exceed this budget amount which will result in certain compensation levels being reduced compared to previous years. Payments will be made as quickly as possible to program participants, and compensation details will be included with the claim summary report.
The Agriculture Wildlife Program (AWP) provides support for eligible crop and livestock losses. By enrolling in AWP, producers can get compensation for wildlife damage to some types of livestock, harvested crops and unharvested crops.
Compensation for agricultural loss to grain, forage, excreta and predation are available up to a maximum of 80%. Budgetary constraints may result in compensation levels or methodology being adjusted.
