The Nutrient Management Calculator provides a starting point for the efficient use of fertilizer and manure on farms. This web based tool assists in choosing the right rate and nutrient source for your crops.

  • A new version of the calculator was released on March 6, 2019.  If you load a .nmp file from the previous version, follow the directions within the site to update your file

Functionality in the current version supports:

  • Evaluation of soil tests
  • Input of custom values or use of provided book values
  • Recommendations for forage crops and field vegetables
  • Estimates for manure production and storage

Functionality not currently supported:

  • Recommendations for berry crops
