Creating a form page in CMS Lite

Last updated on August 2, 2022

To make the form available for testing or to the public, you need to create a form page in CMS Lite.

Setting up a form page

There are three steps to setting up a form page in CMS Lite:

  1. Create a form page
  2. Configure the form page
  3. Add the metadata

Once you've completed these steps and saved the page, your form is ready for testing in the Quality Assurance (QA) environment of CMS Lite. This area is accessible to anyone with an IDIR. This is typically how you would test the form with the business area that owns the form, and any internal interested parties.

Creating a form page

You create a form page much like creating any other page in CMS Lite.

  1. Log in to CMS Lite
  2. Select a location to place the new form page
  3. Add a new page
  4. Choose Form Page from the Page Type (defaults to Topic)

Configuring a form page

Once the new form page has been created, you need to change the content on the Settings tab.

  1. Change the Page Title
  2. Change the Navigation Title
  3. Change the Path Name
  4. (Recommended) Hide from Navigation
  5. (Recommended) Hide from Search Engines
  6. Select the form
  7. Save your changes

Adding the metadata

To assist citizens in finding the form through on-site search, the metadata should be completed accurately.

  1. Create a description
  2. Create keywords
  3. Create synonyms
  4. Identify the creator (owner)
  5. Identify the subject area
  6. Identify the audience
  7. (Optional) Identify the publication date
  8. Save your changes

Publishing a form page

Once you're ready to release the form to the public, you need to publish the form page like any other CMS Lite page.
