On January 14, 2014, the Honourable Teresa Wat held a consultation forum hosted by the Okanagan Chinese Canadian Association. This was the fourth consultation forum in which government actively engaged British Columbia's Chinese community associations and individuals who were directly and indirectly impacted by historical discriminatory legislation. The purpose of the forum was to allow the community to provide guidance toward an appropriate public apology.
