Indigenous Early Childhood Development Funding
Funding is provided for culturally appropriate Indigenous early childhood development services, both on- and off-reserve, through Indigenous agencies across B.C. The goal is to:
- Increase the overall health and well-being of Indigenous children
- Foster language and culture development as the basis of all programs and services available to Indigenous children
- Strengthen the capacity of Indigenous communities to deliver a full range of services with an emphasis on early childhood development
- Increase awareness, outreach and access to a wide range of culturally appropriate programs and services for Indigenous communities
