Venture Capital Corporation

A venture capital corporation (VCC) is formed for the sole purpose of investing in start-ups and emerging and expanding eligible small businesses.

VCCs are usually managed by venture capitalists or angel investors who provide small businesses with the benefit of their expertise, experience, and business knowledge.

VCCs on the register may or may not have a current pre-approved authorization to raise tax credit supported investment. Investors should request a copy of the VCC's pre-approved authorization for confirmation that the VCC is currently permitted to raise tax credit supported investment.
