How to submit angling guide data

Step 1: Register for a Basic BCeID, or have your Basic BCeID account information ready

  • Make sure that your Basic BCeID password is current. Accounts expire every two years from last update if password is not changed

Step 2: Access the BC Freshwater Angling Guide Report Submission Site

  • Log into the submission site using your Basic BCeID username and password
  • For a smooth and reliable experience when saving or submitting the form, we recommend using Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox

Step 3: Submit Data

  • On the “Angling Guide Information” section, fill out the required information
  • If no guiding occurred, select “No” for the question “Did you guide in fresh water for the current Angling Guide Reporting year?” Complete the remaining fields and choose the “Submit” button to submit your report
  • If guiding occurred, select “Unclassified Waters” and/or “Classified Waters” to report on your activity. New report sections will appear below for you to complete, before you can submit your report
  • Complete the “Unclassified Waters Report.” Report guiding information by group of anglers, location, park information (if applicable), date and catch information by location. Once a group is complete select “Add Another Group’s Report” to begin another activity report. For each group you can add multi locations, dates and catch information
  • Complete the “Classified Waters Report.” Each report records all the activity for a single client. Enter their personal information and licence then for each location, dates and record catch. Select “+Add Another Client’s Report,” to begin another client’s report
  • Save submission as a draft by using the “Save as a Draft” button, located at the top right corner of screen. Log back in to complete your submission later through "View My Drafts/Submissions" located at the top left when first signing on.

Step 4: Complete Report Submission

Select the “Submit” button at the bottom of the page. You can choose to email yourself a receipt of the report submission on the confirmation page.

  • Provincial angling guide data administrators will review your reports and contact you during the review process if necessary

You can refer to the Guidelines for Submitting Angling Guide Annual Reports (PDF, 2MB) for step-by-step instructions to access and submit data through the BC Freshwater Angling Guide Report Submission Site
