Weigh2GoBC for Canadian Carriers Outside of B.C.
There are three steps to participating in Weigh2GoBC.
- Register for a business-level BCeID
- Apply to join Weigh2GoBC
- Register your equipment
After you have joined, keep all your information up-to-date. This will help your drivers “get the green light.”
Register for a BCeID
To get a BCeID:

Make sure you’re authorized to register the carrier company for a BCeID and be prepared to give your contact name, email and phone number.
You’ll also need to provide the following carrier information:
- Official business name
- 'Doing business as' name, if different
- Business contact information
Your application will be reviewed and if you’re approved, you will receive an activation code and instructions by mail. You’ll have 30 days from the time the letter is mailed to complete your BCeID registration online.
Join Weigh2GoBC
You’ll need your BCeID, user name and password to join Weigh2GoBC
You’ll also need to provide the following information:
- National Safety Code (NSC)
- Official business name
- “Doing-business-as” name, if different
- Contact information
- Financial responsibility (FR) number
- International Registration Plan (IRP) account number
- International fuel tax agreement (IFTA) — this is optional
Your application will be reviewed within five business days. If approved, you will be sent an email with instructions on how to register your equipment.
Register Your Equipment
Register any vehicles that will be coming to B.C.
- Learn about trucks and transponders
- Organize your equipment information tool (DOCX)
- Register your equipment using your BCeID and user name
You’ll need to provide:
- A digital (JPEG) photo of the vehicle
- Your commercial vehicle license plate number
- Your ASTMv6 compatible transponder ID
- Licensed gross vehicle weight (GVW) for B.C.
- Vehicle identification number (VIN)
- Your company's vehicle fleet unit number (this is optional, but it helps to identify the vehicle you are referring to when you correspond with us)
Once you've registered, scan and email your cab card(s).
Your transponder will be activated within 24 hours after your cab card(s) has been verified.
Remember to update us with any changes to your information, equipment or vehicles.
