B.C. has many services for victims. This section provides contact information (phone numbers and email addresses) victims of crime can call for help, support and more information.

Financial Assistance for a Victim of Crime
- The CVAP provides financial assistance to victims of certain crimes, immediate family members and some witnesses. For more information, see: Financial Assistance (Victims)
Information about the Accused and Offender
- Victims of crime can ask for information about the person who was charged with the crime (accused) or convicted of the crime (offender) by calling the VSU
- Register by providing your name and contact information. VSU will update you with information such as what happened at court and whether the offender is in jail
- If the offender has been sent to jail for two years or more, they will be in a federal correctional centre (penitentiary). For information on victim notification, call the Correctional Service of Canada (CSC), Victim Services at 1-866-806-2275 (free in B.C. - when you are asked for the region, select 1 for Pacific Region) or email: firstname.lastname@example.org
