Alternate jurors

In some cases, a judge may decide to select additional or alternate jurors. An alternate juror takes the place of an existing juror who is unable to serve. The alternate juror must attend the full length of the trial just like the regular jurors.

You must respond to a jury summons - even if you feel you are not qualified or need an exemption. You can respond by mail or online. Find out how.
