Provincial violation tickets are traffic tickets issued for offences such as running a red light or driving without insurance – offences under the Motor Vehicle Act and Regulations.
Provincial tickets can also be issued for offences under the following provincial legislation:
Ticket holders have 30 days from the date the ticket was issued to choose one of the following actions:
Not paying or disputing a ticket within 30 days means the ticket holder is considered to have pleaded guilty, and the full amount is due immediately.
