 The BC Geological Survey reviews assessment reports for compliance with:

Technical assessment reports 

ARIS (Assessment Report Indexing System) stores technical assessment reports and data from mineral and placer exploration and development properties across British Columbia. Report filing began in 1947. Reports document geological, geophysical, geochemical, drilling, and other exploration related activities. Technical assessment reports are confidential for one year from the work registration date.

Coal assessment reports

COALFILE is the collection of assessment reports and data from coal exploration and development properties across British Columbia. The information contained in COALFILE is stored as a relational database (Microsoft Access) and includes spatial information for boreholes, bulk samples, and trenches. Reports are confidential for three years from the date of submission. Some information remains confidential indefinitely (Section 2 of the Coal Act Regulation).
