SPAR access requirements
Access to the Seed Planning and Registry (SPAR) application can be obtained for a company or client registered in the application. To obtain access, ministry users will need an IDIR and non-ministry users will need a business level BCeID. Please select from the following options below to learn more about how to request SPAR access.

For non-ministry users
To access SPAR, consultants must have a Business B.C. Government Electronic ID (BCeID).
- For information on BCeID, go to the Electronic Forest Management (e-FM) website.
If you are a consultant submitting seedling requests on behalf of your client, please provide documentation from your client authorizing you to access their client account. Please send authorizations to FORHTIP.SEEDHELP@gov.bc.ca
Once you have a BCeID, you can request SPAR access.
- Go to the Electronic Forest Management Application Access form for SPAR.
- If you are submitting seedling requests on behalf of your client, please provide documentation from your client authorizing you to access their client account.

To access SPAR, forestry clients (woodlot owners, licensees, consultants accessing their own company) must have a Business B.C. Government Electronic ID (BCeID).

Once you have a BCeID, you can request SPAR access.

For government staff
Government staff working for the FIP program can get access by submitting their IDIR and the required security level to the SPAR Administrator by email to: FORHTIP.SEEDHELP@gov.bc.ca

For registering seedlots in SPAR
Both ministry and non-ministry users will need Silviculture Supervisor access to register natural stand (class B) seedlots in SPAR. Please note that Ministry Users may enter and update lots within their own Organizational Unit and Non-Ministry Users may enter and update lots where their sign in client profile matches the Applicant Client.
To obtain access please use the Electronic Forest Management Application Access form for SPAR.
Both ministry and non-ministry users will need Silviculture Supervisor and Orchard level access to register orchard seedlots (class A) seedlots in SPAR. Please note that Ministry Users may enter and update lots within their own Organizational Unit and Non-Ministry Users may enter and update lots where their sign in client profile matches the Applicant Client.
To obtain access, please send an email to FORHTIP.SEEDHELP@gov.bc.ca. Please make a note that you will need entering A class seedlots in SPAR and provide your BCeID/IDIR and the client name or client number that you will be registering seedlots for.
