Economic Opportunities Assessment

 

About the Economic Opportunities Assessment

Commissioned in 2016, the report helped set the economic development context within B.C.’s zero-emission sector. It helped guide government policy and actions to support economic development.

The report identifies how B.C. has a competitive advantage on economic opportunities in the ZEV sector. This includes:

  • International recognition of our advanced automotive sector
  • Talented and knowledgeable people in our industry
  • Making sure we protect our environment
  • Getting people into ZEVs faster
  • Clean sources of electricity
  • Being well positioned geographically to West Coast states and Asian markets
