Innovate BC

Innovate BC helps people in B.C. launch and grow their businesses by connecting them with experts and resources.

Background

Innovate BC is a Crown agency of the B.C. government. It reports to the Ministry of Jobs and Economic Growth. The ministry:

• Supports the growth of B.C.'s tech sector
• Champions innovation across the economy
• Nurtures small businesses
• Supports economic development
• Promotes B.C. as a preferred place to invest and do business

Scope

Innovate BC’s scope of responsibility is to:

• Develop and deliver tools, resources, expert guidance, programs and initiatives 
• Build and maintain partnerships with stakeholders in industry, academia, and other governments
• Support government in the implementation of strategic initiatives leveraging technology and innovation
• Provide input into government’s development of technology and innovation policy and programs
