Innovate BC

Innovate BC helps people in B.C. launch their ideas and connect with experts to help grow their businesses. It connects innovators with funding, tools, resources, and support.

Background

Innovate BC is a Crown agency of the B.C. government. It reports to the Ministry of Jobs, Economic Development and Innovation. The ministry:

• Supports the growth of B.C.'s tech sector
• Champions innovation across the economy
• Nurtures small businesses
• Supports economic development
• Promotes B.C. as a preferred place to invest and do business

Scope

Innovate BC’s scope of responsibility is to:

• Develop and deliver tools, resources, expert guidance, programs and initiatives 
• Build and maintain partnerships with stakeholders in industry, academia, and other governments
• Support government in the implementation of strategic initiatives leveraging technology and innovation
• Provide input into government’s development of technology and innovation policy and programs
