Naming convention for digital artwork files

When working with B.C. digital artwork files, there are five components to be aware of:

  1. the digital artwork's name;
  2. the orientation (horizontal or vertical) of the artwork;
  3. the colour space (CMYK, Grey, Solid or RGB) used to reproduce the artwork;
  4. whether the artwork prints positive (pos) on a light background or reverses (rev) out of a dark background;
  5. the artwork's digital file format (vector or raster).

Illustration of File Naming Convention

Here is a file name that demonstrates this naming convention: BCID_V_CMYK_pos.eps
