Preparing BC Court Documents for Authentication
These include original documents (not copies) issued by a BC court, including BC divorce certificates.
- Submit BC court documents directly to the OIC Administration Office for authentication
- BC court documents must be a certified true copy, stamped with a court seal and have an ink signature by a court employee
- If the BC court document is a BC divorce certificate, it must be stamped with a court seal and include an ink signature by a court employee
- Photocopies of BC court documents will not be accepted for authentication. If you received a photocopy from the court, it must be taken back to the courthouse and be certified as a true copy as described above
