How to add digital credentials

A service may offer you a digital credential for your BC Wallet.

  • Log in to the service website

  • Open BC Wallet on your smartphone or tablet and tap Scan. Allow (if prompted) BC Wallet to access the camera as it is needed to scan the QR code

  • Point your camera towards the QR code on the website to scan it

If you’re accessing a service on the same smartphone or tablet as your BC Wallet, tap the “open with BC Wallet” or “open in wallet” button or link.

  • Once the scan is successful, you’ll receive a credential offer in BC Wallet. Tap View offer

  • Review the information and tap Accept to add the credential to your BC Wallet

Read more on available digital credentials.

Credential wasn't offered

A credential offer may take some time to arrive. You can try:

  • Opening and closing the app to refresh your notifications

  • Turn off Wi-Fi on your smartphone or tablet and use data (you might have a firewall enabled on your Wi-Fi connection)

  • If you're still on the page with the QR code, see if you can generate a new QR code or refresh the page and scan it with your BC Wallet again
