LINK In-Service Training

Caregivers provide an invaluable service to children, youth, and families requiring specialized skills, education, and support.

As of Fall 2026, LINK In-Service Caregiver Training is available to foster caregivers across BC.  This on-line training, designed to meet their unique needs and offer focused skills training, is free of charge and takes about 20 hours to complete.  All foster caregivers are required to complete the LINK In-Service Caregiver Training within two years of becoming approved.

The LINK In-Service Caregiver Training consists of modules on a variety of topics including:

• Supporting Identity, Self-Esteem, and Well-Being
• Grief, Loss, Attachment, and Permanency Through Relationships
• Understanding Behaviour and Trauma-Informed Caregiving
• Culture, Identity, and Belonging
• Supporting Open and Safe Dialogue about Substance Use

To register, request the LINK In-Service Caregiver Training via your Resource Worker who will submit a registration form on your behalf.
