Last updated on March 19, 2024

The B.C. Ministry of Water, Land, and Resource Stewardship is committed to public review of draft Water Quality Policy Reports prior to their final approval and posting as policy.

To facilitate your input, we maintain an electronic email distribution list to advise potentially interested parties that a new draft policy report has been posted and is open for public comment. If you wish to be added to the notification list, please email water.quality.guidelines@gov.bc.ca or enter your email in the subscription box to the right. You will be notified when draft policy reports are posted on this webpage; please note there is no obligation to review any draft documents.

Written feedback is generally requested within a 30-day period. The review period may be extended if notice is received prior to the end of the review period.

To be considered, feedback must be received before the end of the review period and include the reviewer’s name and affiliation (if applicable). All feedback will be considered and any required changes will be made before final approval of the Policy Report. Responses to public review comments are available upon request.
