Business Retention and Expansion (BRE) is work that encourages existing local businesses to stay and grow in your community.

A BRE program helps create a healthy local business climate. It grows your business community so you can support local jobs and investment.

A BRE program is an ongoing process. You learn about and address emerging challenges and opportunities in your business community.

An effective BRE process is community focused. Following the BRE process and going to local businesses, you can:

Learn about the current business climate
Understand challenges and opportunities
Create an action plan to support business success
