Guidelines

Once your AskMyHR service request has been processed, BC Transit will contact you to pick up the pass.

  • If you haven't heard from BC Transit within 2 weeks of submitting your application, follow up with your AskMyHR service request

A standard month-to-month bus pass starts on the first of the month and is valid until the last day of the month; however, a ProPASS starts on any day of the month.

If you have a monthly bus pass and your ProPASS starts before the end of the month, BC Transit will reimburse you for the remaining days.

  • You need to take your month-to-month pass with you on the day of your appointment to receive the reimbursement

The bus pass payroll deduction starts at the date indicated on the form and continues for a minimum of one (1) year from the start date.

The only exceptions for early cancellation are:

  • Employee relocation or termination
  • Circumstances authorized by the payroll department such as maternity or parental leave, LTD (Long-term Disability) or WCB (Worker’s Compensation Board) Time Loss Claims

For working employees over the age of 65, it's recommended you exit the ProPASS program and purchase a monthly youth/senior pass. It costs less than an adult ProPASS.

Terminate a pass

ProPASS is continuous (no expiry date) and payroll deductions will only end when you have submitted your destroyed ProPASS card and the ProPASS termination form through an AskMyHR service request.

Submit an AskMyHRRestricted Access service request using the categories Myself > Submit a Form or Document > Other Forms Submission.

In the service request include:
