Design Build Standard Specifications for Highway Construction

Standard specifications for highway construction serve as a standard reference in construction contracts.

The specifications outline minimum requirements for highway construction in British Columbia. Where modifications are necessary to suit local conditions they will be specified in special provisions or Requests for Proposal for each contract.

The 2018 Design Build Standard Specifications is completed and is adopted December 1, 2018.

A pre-release PDF version of this document entered limited circulation on November 1, 2018 and is now obsolete. Please ensure you have the current version which has the notation “Adopted December 1, 2018” on the cover. The December 1, 2018 edition is now available for purchase through Queen’s Printer via the links to below.
