Notice of work

Project overview

  • Widen 1.6 km section of Highway 1 to four lanes and incorporate median and roadside barriers
  • Create a new, grade-separated interchange at Brooke Drive
  • Install two grade-separated pedestrian paths over Highway 1 with connections to Scatchard Trail
  • Provide municipal infrastructure improvements, including traffic and pedestrian safety enhancements along Brooke Drive to Shuswap Avenue

Status

  • Construction
    • On site Prime Contractor: CIF Construction LTD
    • Current focus: Ground stabilization work for the new overpass
  • Anticipated project completion: fall 2025
