File your BC home flipping tax return
Note: The BC home flipping tax return is separate from your annual income tax filings with the Canada Revenue Agency.
You must file a BC home flipping tax return within 90 days of disposing of a taxable property if you have owned that property for less than 730 days.
A tax return is required to be filed even if your net taxable income from the disposition is $0 and you have no tax owing (a loss from a disposition is deemed to equal a net taxable income of $0) or you’re claiming an exemption, unless the exemption is listed as not requiring a return to be filed.

If you do not file your BC home flipping tax return and pay the tax by the filing due date, you’ll be charged penalties and interest.
If penalties or interest resulted from circumstances beyond your control, you may request a waiver of penalties and interest.
