December 18, 2020 - Notice Regarding the Use of Registered Service Providers in British Columbia

Last updated on December 18, 2020

The Gaming Policy Enforcement Branch (GPEB) is responsible for regulating and maintaining the overall integrity of gambling in British Columbia and licences eligible organizations to conduct gaming events for charitable and religious purposes and community benefit.

Licensees holding charitable gaming events utilizing Electronic Raffle Systems (ERS) must ensure the service provider is registered with GPEB and the ERS is certified by GPEB to operate in British Columbia. Certification of equipment and systems involved in charitable gaming ensures that they are fair, honest, secure, safe, auditable, and able to operate correctly for the benefit of charities as outlined in the Technical Gaming Standards (PDF).

Given recent inquiries received, GPEB wishes to clarify that The Lotto Factory (TLF Global Ltd.) is not currently registered by GPEB as a service provider.

A list of ERS services providers registered and certified by GPEB can be obtained by contacting Corporate Registration at: Gaming.Registration@gov.bc.ca.
