Last updated on April 29, 2025

For organizations who need to screen someone who already had a CRRP check

Eligibility

This service is for organizations registered with the Criminal Records Review Program (CRRP). It explains how to submit a sharing request for an active clearance for the people they need to screen.

Shareable clearances

A clearance can be shared if it:

  • Was through the CRRP
  • Was done in the last 5 years
  • Is still active
  • Is the same "works with" type you need (children, vulnerable adults or both)

Clearance through the police or RCMP cannot be shared.

Fees

It's free for applicants to share past results with your organization.

Submit

There are 2 ways to access shared results.

Option 1: Online (Recommended)

This option lets applicants share the results themselves. The applicant must have submitted their previous criminal record check using their BC Services Card account.

Send the applicant a criminal record check invitation through the online platform, or alternatively provide them with:

Option 2: Manual (Paper)

A manual sharing form is available when an applicant has an eligible clearance but did not previously use their BC Services Card account.

The organization can submit a manual sharing form to spdcrcsp@gov.bc.ca for processing. Get the sharing form here

  • The paperwork is incomplete
