Canada's National Action Plan to Combat Human Trafficking proposes strategies to support organizations that provide assistance to victims and to protect foreign nationals from being subjected to illegitimate or unsafe work.

Protection and assistance for victims of human trafficking is a Citizenship and Immigration Canada web page that offers foreign victims of human trafficking information about how they can apply for a special temporary resident permit to stay in Canada.

Human Trafficking: Reference Guide for Canadian Law Enforcement (2005) is a reference tool that allows Canadian law enforcement officials to benefit from the experience of other law enforcement agencies working within the framework of the UN Convention Against Transnational Organized Crime.

Towards the Development of a National Data Collection Framework to Measure Trafficking in Persons (2010) by the Canadian Centre for Justice Statistics is a report examining the feasibility of developing a national data collection framework to measure human trafficking in Canada.

An Exploration of Promising Practices in Response to Human Trafficking in Canada (no date) was commissioned by the Government of Manitoba for the Federal-Provincial-Territorial Forum of Senior Officials responsible for the Status of Women.
