Current western spruce budworm treatments

Preliminary block locations for the proposed 2020 aerial spray program to treat priority stands under attack by western spruce budworm have been identified. If treatments are required they will occur this summer (June/July) and the biological insecticide Foray 48B (active ingredient Btk) will be used.

Aerial spray projects to treat priority stands under attack by western spruce budworm have been identified in the Cariboo Region for treatment with the biological insecticide Foray 48B (Btk) this summer (June-early July).

- The actual blocks treated will depend on spring insect population monitoring that determine if levels of predicted damage meet or exceed treatment threshold levels
