LCFS Initiative Agreement program

The Initiative Agreement program (the program) commenced in 2014 to accelerate the use of low carbon fuels while providing additional compliance pathways.

The Initiative Agreement program:

  • Allocates up to 25% of the previous compliance year’s debits
  • Reviews applications from anyone in B.C. for eligible actions
  • Grants LCFS credits to successful applicants for complete actions

Projects supported under Initiative Agreements

The Initiative Agreement program currently supports over 40 projects.
