With reference to your letter of October 25, 1983, regarding hose connections.

The Building in question is twelve storeys in height, and falls under the provisions of Sentences 3.2.5.4.(1) and (2). The Code requires 21/2 in. hose connections, this is mandatory. The reference to 11/2 in. connections does not apply to this building in view of the height.

This issue was raised under Appeal No. 611, which would clearly seem to deal with this situation.
