Re: Wood Stove Installation

With reference to your letter dated November 20, 1989, regarding a protective pad beneath a wood burning stove.

From the information supplied it is our understanding that Article 9.34.2.8. is in question. The stove is mounted on legs providing a clear space of at least 100 mm and you propose installing 3/4"" marble on a bed of reinforced mortar over sheet metal. We consider this to be an acceptable equivalent to the procedure indicated in Article 9.34.2.8.
