Re: Strata Titled Dwelling Units, Article 9.10.11.2.

With reference to your letter of March 31, 1989 regarding the application of Article 9.10.11.2. to strata-titled single storey dwelling units.

While we have no disagreement with your criticism of the apparent inconsistency in the Code, the actual wording provides little choice. Once strata-titled, the walls between the units become party walls, and the units fall completely within the scope of Article 9.10.11.2.; we must therefore agree with the position taken by the authority having jurisdiction.
