Re: Bedroom Windows, Articles 9.7.1.3., 9.7.1.4., 9.9.9.1. and 9.9.9.2.

With reference to your letter of October 27, 1988 regarding the height of a bedroom window sill.

We agree with your observations relating to Articles 9.7.1.3. and 9.7.1.4. With respect to Articles 9.9.9.1. and 9.9.9.2., these apply generally to egress from dwelling units, in the circumstances described in these Articles, which may or may not apply to bedrooms.

Therefore, whilst the height of sill provided in Article 9.9.9.2. may be desirable in application to Article 9.7.1.3., it is not strictly applicable.
