Re: Plastic Sprinkler Pipe

With reference to your letter of March 8, 1988, regarding the use of "Blazemaster" pipe and fittings for a sprinkler system in the Royal Inland Hospital. The material has been tested and listed, initially by Underwriters' Laboratories Inc., and now by Underwriters' Laboratories of Canada.

Based on the information submitted, we consider the material to be acceptable for use in sprinkler systems under the B.C. Building Code, subject to installation in strict accordance with the terms of the listing. It is noted that listed protection devices will be used at penetrations of fire separations.
