Late Participation 2026

Canada-British Columbia responds to the impacts of drought in 2026 by implementing Late Participation. Through Late Participation, clients have until November 30, 2026 to enrol in AgriStability's 2026 program year.

Enrolling for Late Participation in AgriStability 2026 is easy! 

Fill in the 2026 Late Participation Initial Declaration and Authorization (561KB)  form and submit it before the November 30, 2026 deadline. 

After your forms are received, our team will contact you;

• to gather more information about your operation, including productive capacity
• to collect the $300 Late Participation fee; please note that if your final enrolment fee exceeds the $300 Late Participation fee, the difference will be deducted from your benefit
• to discuss the option for an AgriStability advance (interim) payment

Late Participation Penalty

Please be aware that there is a penalty for late participation. If you missed the April 30, 2026 deadline for regular enrolment, a 20% deduction will be applied to any benefits received from AgriStability. 

Advance (interim) payment increase for 2026

• Late Participants can apply for an advance (interim) payment until March 31, 2027
• Eligible participants can qualify for of up to 75% of the estimated final benefit
• Interim requests are processed quickly (within 30 days of receiving the form)

Pay your fees!

• you can pay over the phone by calling 1-877-343-2767
• bring your payment to the nearest AgriStability office, or
• include a cheque (payable to the Minister of Finance) with your mailed forms
